I'm so ready for spring, so I'm loving floral prints lately (and apparently navy!) Here are some pretty things that have been inspiring me lately. (Well...the bikini and pillows don't necessarily inspire me, but I kinda want them ;) )

Let's Go Camping

This whole camping theme is HUGE right now, and I just had to jump on the camping boat (or canoe, I guess I should say.) Honestly, I've never really been camping in a tent (other than in my backyard when I was a kid), but I channeled my "inner camper" for this collection's theme. I would honestly love to create a kid's apparel/toy/bedroom line with this collection, so I created some flat mockups. One of my patterns is featured on the Pattern Camp blog that is run by Jessica Swift. I created this collection in two different colorways: one that could be more targeted to boys and another for girls (of course, either could work for boys or girls.) Hope y'all like it!

Love Notes Collection

Happy (almost) Valentine's Day, y'all! While I usually think Valentine's Day is a little cheesy and overrated, I really love all of the cute greeting cards and red and pink decorations (and candy, of course!) I don't think you just have to have a significant other to celebrate Valentine's Day...celebrate it with whoever you love! My parents used to always get my siblings and me gifts and candy for Vday, and I plan on doing the same for my future kids. I even sent my parents a Valentines's Day card this year. So, whether you're celebrating the day with your sweetheart or anyone else you love, I hope everyone has a wonderful Valentine's Day this year!

Of course, I had to create a Valentine's Day themed pattern collection! It's called "Love Notes" and I did two different colorways as well as some fun mockups. Hope y'all enjoy!

I will also be entering in the Spoonflower fabric design contest for next week. The theme is "Love is in the air", and I decided to reuse some of my little birdies from the Love Notes collection to create a fun, weather-and-love-filled pattern. Voting for this contest begins next Wednesday, so head over to Spoonflower to vote for your favorites!

This week I'm obsessing over florals, neon colors, and organic shapes. I've been a fan of Kelly Rae Roberts's art for awhile; I've even taken her mixed media painting class online and LOVED it! (Seriously...check her website out. She has SUCH a sweet and uplifting spirit, and her art is gorgeous.)
